Justice for Our Neighbors provides free legal advice, counsel and immigration representation on a range of immigration legal issues to immigrants with a household income at or below 200% of the poverty line. Legal issues include: adjustment of status, naturalization, family-based petitions, petitions for victims of domestic violence and other crimes. JFON does not handle detained cases, employment based immigration cases, or criminal based immigration cases.
Three intake clinics are hosted monthly in Dearborn, Pontiac and Ypsilanti. JFOC operates by appointment only. The Detroit clinic is held on the second Tuesday of every month between 10am and noon. In the summer, the clinic may be closed due to scheduling conflicts so call ahead for an appointment. The Dearborn clinic is held on the second Monday of every month between 2-5pm.
