Livingston County Legal Self-Help Center Network

The Self-Help Center Network has library staff who are trained to help visitors use the Michigan Legal Help website. These staff members are called “navigators,” and they can help you access information about handling some kinds of legal matters without a lawyer.

In addition to the website, navigators can help visitors find instructions for completing their legal process, answer simple questions about forms that are available on the website, and find community resources that may help with your legal problem. Navigators can provide legal information, but not legal advice. Navigators welcome any and all questions and will let you know if your question is outside of what they can provide. If you need legal advice, please contact a lawyer. If you would like help finding a lawyer, please use the Guide to Legal Help.
